Deal Summary

McColl Partners, LLC ("McColl Partners") acted as financial advisor to American Importing Company, Inc. (“Amport Foods” or the “Company”) in its recapitalization led by Gryphon Investors, Inc. (“Gryphon”). The transaction will enable the management team of Amport Foods to partner with Gryphon and facilitate the Company’s expansion in the growing healthy snacks industry.

Founded in 1962 and headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Amport Foods is a leading provider of high-quality private label and branded snack foods and related processed ingredients. The Company develops and manufactures a complete line of dried fruits, assorted nuts and seeds, trail mixes, dates, and other wholesome snack foods and related food products, which are distributed primarily to limited assortment stores, supermarkets, mass retail, drug stores, club stores, food service suppliers, and convenience stores.
