Principal

Matt Preece is a Principal and Partner with McColl Partners.  Previously, Mr. Preece worked at CapitalSouth Partners, a middle-market private equity fund, where he gained principal investing experience in leveraged buyouts, acquisition and growth financings, and recapitalizations.  He also served as a Corporate Development Associate at TITAN Technology Partners and as a research analyst on PaineWebber’s equity derivatives trading desk in New York.

Education 

Mr. Preece received a bachelor of science degree in commerce with concentrations in finance and marketing from the McIntire School of Commerce at The University of Virginia and a master of business administration degree with concentrations in analytical finance, management strategy, and entrepreneurship from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where he graduated with distinction and was a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society.
