McColl Partners’ senior partner, Hugh McColl, was featured on CBS’s 60 Minutes last week during a segment highlighting Charlotte, NC and the growth experienced at Bank of America in recent years. During the interview, CBS’s Leslie Stahl interviewed Mr. McColl, who served as Chairman and CEO of Bank of America from 1983 until his retirement in 2001. Both Mr. McColl and current Bank of America Chairman Ken Lewis commented on the growth experienced under their respective leadership at Bank of America, as well as the evolution of Charlotte becoming a leading financial center in recent years. Upon his retirement from Bank of America, Mr. McColl co-founded his namesake investment bank with several other bankers from various institutions. Mr. McColl was also recently listed as one of the 40 most influential and powerful figures in the financial industry in the past 40 years by Institutional Investor.
