Matt Preece is a Vice President with McColl Partners.  Previously, Mr. Preece was an Associate at CapitalSouth Partners, a middle-market private equity fund, where he gained principal investing experience in leveraged buyouts, acquisition and growth financings, and recapitalizations.  Prior to joining CapitalSouth, Mr. Preece served as a Corporate Development Associate at TITAN Technology Partners.  Mr. Preece began his career as a research analyst on PaineWebber’s equity derivatives trading desk in New York.

Mr. Preece holds a bachelor of science degree in commerce with concentrations in finance and marketing from the McIntire School at The University of Virginia.  Mr. Preece also received a master of business administration degree with concentrations in analytical finance, management strategy, and entrepreneurship from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where he graduated with distinction and was a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society.
